Star Holiday Happenings and Hopes for the New Year

By Emily Feimster

Ding dong merrily on high, our favorite celebrities have given us the scoop on what's happening this holiday season! While many are busy buying gifts and making plans with loved ones, others are already looking forward to big things in 2007. Join us as we take a look at Tinseltown's holiday plans and hopes for the New Year!

Hayden Panettiere from "Heroes" - "I'm hoping to go to New York for New Years." She says that's the only present she needs, well, besides getting a new camera. "I'm just happy to be able to do what I've wanted to do since I was little."

Drew Lachey - "I would like world peace, the end of the war in Iraq, the cure to cancer, but I probably have a better chance of getting an iTunes gift card."

Beck/Smith Gossip The Inside Scoop
The hottest celebrity swirl from the true Hollywood insiders: Marilyn and Stacy.

Katherine Heigl of "Grey's Anatomy" - "I would really like to start producing and getting into that arena. I want to keep my hand in it some way that doesn't involve me always being in the movie."

Damon Wayans - "Using a basketball analogy, I want three rings. It would be 'In Living Color,' 'My Wife and Kids,' and 'The Underground' will be my third championship ring. I want the streets talking about the show. I want to go out and build that buzz."

Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac - "I've got an eight-year-old son and two young daughters, so they pretty much make the holiday plans for us. We get grandma and grandpa out and do the traditional thing. My wife shops like crazy." So what does he want for Christmas? "Nothing I could talk about," he says with a laugh.

Weird Al Yankovic - "My New Year's resolution is to eat more burritos. I just didn't eat enough last year." At least he keeps the bar low!

Justin Berfield, former "Malcolm in the Middle" star, who now has his own production company - "We just want to create great movies and TV shows that can span the age bracket. We'd be honored to win an award, but obviously that's not the ultimate goal."

Lorne Michaels, creator/executive producer of "Saturday Night Live" - "I'll be going away with my family for the holidays and then back to work in January. Just to get away is enough for me."

Adrianne Curry, the first winner of "America's Next Top Model" - "I've never been happier in my life. I will try to further myself in everything, but it if doesn't work out then I'll go straight to college. I could really give a f--- if I'm in this career." Well, then.

Greg Behrendt, talk-show host - "I want to be able to spend more time with my family and give them a great life. Maybe front an instrumental ska band. If I could that, I'd be happy. I still haven't achieved my dream of being a rock star, but other than that I'm pretty content."

Hector Elizondo - "I'm looking for good plays to do because I love the theatre."

Ashleigh Banfield, Court TV correspondent - "I'd like to end world hunger and get a Jacuzzi. I used to have these lofty goals, but now I just want my kids and my family to be happy and healthy."

Comedian Ant - "I want to be a good dad." What does that mean for him? "Not hitting my kid and making sure they reach 18." Sounds good to us!

Christopher "Big Black" Boykin from MTV's "Rob & Big" - "I'm going to keep my options open. I'm an aspiring rapper. I'm trying to go to the studio and get my album out."

John O'Hurley - "I've given up on gifts. I've got everything in the world I need right now. I've got a wonderful, eclectic career, and a great wife. As long as my little boy is happy and healthy, I have everything I need."

Tom Cavanagh, known for the TV show "Ed" - "I'm not one of those guys who think too far ahead. One of the things I'm grateful for is just to have the opportunity at having a crack at some of the good roles that come along. I can't ask for much more than that."

Sprague Grayden of "Jericho" - "Every time I start to think maybe this isn't what I should be doing right now, a great job comes along and it's a new experience. I hate to get to the cheesy I'm lucky thing, but it's so incredibly true. I just hope I keep evolving as an actor."

James Morrison from "24" - "I think my resolution is just to be more present and be in the moment, so I can appreciate life's gifts. I think that's the resolution I make up every day when I wake up, though."

David James Elliot from "Close to Home" - "I want to do some movies. I want to get back on the boards and do some theatre. From when I started to where I am today, my goal has always been to put my best foot forward every day and be the best person, the best actor that I can be."

Ed McMahon - "We're staying home this holiday season, so it's going to be a family celebration time here at the house. I always have the same resolution, which is to try to be better this year than I was last year. I just want to keep doing it and keep doing it as well as I can." Don't we all.

Happy holidays and best wishes in the New Year!
