(FILES) -- A file photo taken on March 24, 2002 shows US actors Ryan O'Neal (R) and Ali MacGraw, the stars of the 1970 film "Love Story", posing at the 74th Academy Awards in Hollywood, CA. "Love Story" author Erich Segal, whose popular romantic drama coined the phrase "Love means never having to say you're sorry", has died of a heart attack at the age of 72, his daughter said. Segal, who also wrote the screenplay for the Beatles' animated film "Yellow Submarine", died at his home in London on January 17, 2010, his daughter Francesca Segal said.
