Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are adding a new production to their working-as-a-couple agenda. Though he won't go into details, the actor and "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" reality star reports they have "another show" en route to the cameras.
Could it be a comedy?
Dean, whose "Due South" series is still fondly remembered, recalls, "I loved that role of Constable Turnbull, the goofy overachieving stunning idiot. I would love to play that character forever. I love to do comedy. I'd love to do more."
He does have a comedy -- a romantic comedy for The Hallmark Channel -- coming up Oct. 10. Called "Always and Forever," it also stars Rena Sofer, and it's about former high school sweethearts who meet up again as adults.
"We hit it off right from the jump," he says of himself and Sofer. "She's a funny gal and beautiful, sexy."
Another big advantage for Dean was the fact "Always and Forever" shot in nearby Simi Valley -- so he could commute home to be with Tori and their son and daughter, two-year-old Liam and one-year-old Stella. And sometimes, Tori brought the kids to the set to visit -- as of "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" have already seen.
With production of the reality show soon to resume for Season 5, lately, Dean's been enjoying some daddy time with his tots away from the cameras. "They're cuties, just cuties," says the Toronto-born actor. Referring to his son from his first marriage, who was born in 1998, he adds, "I'm blessed to have incredibly wonderful children in Liam, Stella and Jack, my oldest."
