Brenda Song, who plays ditzy spoiled hotel heiress London Tipton on the Disney Channel's "The Suite Life On Deck" (previously "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody") tells us that she has indeed met Herself -- the blond inspiration for her character, Paris Hilton.
In fact, "We've met a couple of times and she's been very nice," says the petite 20-year-old Asian-American actress, "but London hasn't come up yet."
Brenda acknowledges, "You can't deny the similarities between London and Paris."
Of course, Brenda plays London for laughs -- broad comedy complete with lots of squealing and giggling. London will, however, be getting more grown-up as on the season goes, tips Brenda, as she talks about the show that also stars 16-year-old twins Cole and Dylan Sprouse.
"The big difference is that now, London is not just running around. You get to see another side of her, as she's adjusting to 7 Seas High. At home, she didn't even know where her school was. On the ship, she can't run off. She has to share her cabin with someone else -- our new character, Bailey (Debby Ryan)). She has to be like a big sister to her. When they're traveling, she looks to London for advice because London is the world traveler."
Adds Song, "At first, she's very angry with her dad. Her BED in her old room is as big as their cabin. But she comes to realize her dad isn't doing this because he hates her, but wants her to be a better person."
Still, says Brenda, London will still be London. "She'll always find time to be herself, always find time to shop." As for her wardrobe, "I think she has a shoe submarine following the ship," jokes Brenda.
