Celebrities Ho-Ho Uh-Ohs
By Erick Johnson
Bet you can't guess what's the hottest gift for a celebrity to both give and receive this year. And no, it's not a cell phone that takes pictures, gives directions and does your grocery shopping for you or any other electronic gizmo for that matter.
The hottest gift we're hearing about this holiday season among those in Tinseltown is a simple cotton t-shirt with a very stern, but simple message. According to retailers at trendy L.A. boutique Kitson's (located next to The Ivy in Beverly Hills) and Spiritualiti, designers Ivan Bitton and Anthero Montenegro are seeing quite a bit of celebrity traffic for their f--- fame logo tees.
Even Oprah Winfrey has requested that one be put in each of her 21 Christmas baskets that will land under the trees of her closest, dearest friends, many of whom are quite famous.
Val Kilmer and Dylan McDermott ordered a special shipment of the logo tees, so they could wear them during the press junket for their dark drama "Wonderland" back in October.
Other celebs who've shown their approval of these shirts that poke fun of their pop culture status are Salma Hayek, Russell Crowe, Pamela Anderson and "The Sopranos" star Drea de Matteo to name a few. These stars not only bought some for themselves, but special friends as well.
Word has it that comedian/actress Janeane Garofalo was so taken with the tees, after purchasing one for herself she showed up at Kitson's the very next day to buy several more. And you'll never guess what she was wearing.
Leave it to celebrities to mock what many consider a privileged station in life -- one most of them worked hard to achieve.
