The popular daytime talk show host and heir apparent to the throne once held by Oprah Winfrey, beat out "NCIS" special agent Mark Harmon, who held the title for two consecutive years.
But he didn't fall far. Following behind DeGeneres in the ranking of America's favorite TV stars are Harmon in the No. 2 slot and Jon Stewart in No. 3.
