Cuba Gooding, Jr. was almost arrested during 'Show me the money' rehearsals
CUBA GOODING, JR.'s passionate "Show me the money" rehearsals for JERRY MAGUIRE almost got the actor arrested.
The movie star, who won an Oscar for his portrayal as over-confident American football star Rod Tidwell in the 1996 film, admits he was so desperate to impress when he first arrived on set, he ran through his lines in a car on the way to work.
He recalls, "The first time I did it was on the phone on the way to the set; I was yelling and screaming in this phone as pulled onto the Sony lot, so much so that the security (guards) came to the car and my assistant... had to stop them from calling the police: 'There's a black man in his truck yelling and screaming'."
