Brazilian catwalk queen GISELE BUNDCHEN has dismissed the reputation of modelling as "glamorous", insisting there have been many low points in her career.

The 27-year-old beauty was recently rated the world's most successful supermodel with annual earnings topping $33 million (GBP16.5 million) - but she claims she never started her career to find fame.

She says, "It's flattering people might think I am number one but I never set out to be famous.

"A model's life is not as glamorous as everybody thinks it is. It is a great business and we make a lot of money but it's not glamorous.

"You get up at 4am and you shoot in horrible conditions sometimes. There are highs and lows."
