Finding Out if He's Sex-Worthy

Your body may have been screaming, "Take me" ages ago, but your common sense forces you to whisper, "Not yet." Some hesitation is explained by natural anxiety, but is still worth listening to.

"Even if you have the slightest doubt -- whether you think you're right or wrong to have that doubt -- you should listen to it," says Anne Hooper, sex therapist and international bestselling author of Sex Q & A. "This is your unconscious telling you that you aren't quite ready."

In these instances, it's best to trust your instincts. He's already proven he can turn you on, but what kind of vibes does he give off to you in general? Is he kind and generous or can he be moody and selfish? Is he worthy of your trust?

Ironically, some of these questions are best answered after you've had sex for the first time. "Lovemaking is a shortcut to finding out what a person is like," says Hooper. Discovering how he acts in bed and after may tell you all you need to know about whether or not to take the relationship further.
