Drama Queen Fabio
I had a date a while back with this awesome guy. He reminded me of Fabio (back in the day) as he was tall, fit, athletic, and had long, blonde hair. My girlfriend set us up. He started the date off by arriving an hour and a half late. Then once he picked me up, we drove around aimlessly for what seemed like ages. He wasn't much of a talker. Although I was nervous, I managed to keep some conversation going during our long drive. Eventually, we pulled up at his house. He got out of the car and just left me sitting there saying he would be back out in a minute. An hour later, I was still sitting there. I didn't know what was keeping him. I had no idea of where I was. Finally he came out and said he was sorry for keeping me waiting. I said, "Don't say you're sorry if you don't mean it. Anyway, I want you to take me home." While I was waiting for him, I had received a call from a friend to go hang out at a party. So, I had him drop me off at my mate's house for the party. I was trying to get rid of him because he had turned out to be such a deadbeat, but he just wouldn't let me get out of his car. He kept apologizing and stuff. Finally I got out of his car, bumped into some mates, and scurried off into the house. I started to tell my girlfriends about my evening with this loser. Little did I know, but he was standing right behind me and heard every derogatory and shameful thing that passed my lips. He heard the whole lot. Everyone went quiet. I waited in shock for him to say something. He didn't say a word. So, I told him, "You're just not my type. To me you're a loser. You had no regard for leaving me alone in the car. You didn't bother to pick me up until an hour and a half late." He just stood there all the while listening to what I had to say. Then he spoke my name and proceeded to burst out into tears. Oh, my God but he cried so hard! He would have made a good actor because that's all it was, an act. He wasn't sincerely crying. He was a drama queen pure and simple. Then he put his arm around me and apologized. At this point I believed he was sincere. However, this was the freakiest first date I've ever had. I never saw him again after that night. He really thought he was all that, and ultimately that's what killed the moment. -- Jocelyn, 23
