After my divorce, I decided to try an online dating service. One man in particular seemed very nice, so I gave him my phone number. We talked a few times. I found out he was retired from the army and was looking to find a good woman to settle down with. The time came when he asked me out to dinner. I said yes, and we made plans to meet at a local steak house for the next night. After I had agreed to meet him for dinner, he told me not to be surprised when we meet because his teeth were in the shop being fixed. I was horrified and asked him how he was going to eat steak with no teeth. He said he could eat anything without his teeth and had lots of practice. I didn’t want to go on this date, but I went anyway because I am a person of my word. But the whole time I sat there embarrassed while he gnawed on his steak and barked orders at the waiter. I wrote him an e-mail when I got home thanking him for the dinner but I would not be interested in a second date! Whew! -- Ginger, 49
