I Stood Transfixed

I looked into your eyes, and I saw the light.
It was so beautiful, I didn't take flight.
Instead I decided to stand and stare.
While I built up the courage to dare.
To ask one question that I must,
To either get a good answer or go bust.
So I ask of you to see the light,
Will you go out with me tonight?
