The Road

Morning afternoon evening.

i started out to find a path
and avenues developed
as the fortunes grew.

i awaited an answer
while the tide rushes in
baited my line shorelines
brought bounty in envelopes
disguised.

one solar year later
i sit in residence.
and lorn for the road
and all its empty illustrious
deceptions.

to my beautiful mother
i will love you forever.
