Poetry: Unrequited Love
A love to call my own
by Alicia Lee

I knew from the beginning
That you were just a flirt
Still i fell in love with you
Knowing I'd get hurt

I tried to tie you down
Make you love just one
But how could i do something
That no-one else has done

I no you'll never love me
and i'll try not to cry
But i must find the strength somehow
to kiss your lips goodbye

if you ask for me
you'll find i want to be there
but i want a love to call my own
not one i have to share

so i will hide this broken heart
beneath a smileing face
even though you think i never cared
no-one else can take your place

I loved it!
It was good.
I'm pretty neutral.
Not really my style.
