Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Hurt
by Amber

You can't open your eyes and see
What you are doing to me
You are but blind

I am numb, but I can feel
This pain is very real
Smiles have lost their touch
As did your embrace
Just a new stranger’s face

I can speak...but you won't listen
Your soul seems to be missin’
You are but deaf...

I won't open my weakened eyes
To affirm our harsh lives
I don't want to see

You are dead and alone
Let the truth be known
I frown upon you
Despise your touch
I can’t take this anymore…

It just hurts too much

What did you think of this poem?
I loved it!
It was good.
I'm pretty neutral.
Not really my style.
It left me cold.
