I don't mind the silence of the night, tip-toeing across the midnight sky.
All my worries seem to pass on by with the silence pouring in my mind.

I walk into the calming evening and hear my soul slowly breathing.
Breathing in the darkened skies while hearing silence silently cry.

Sometimes, I have tried to hear more than what was in the night.
And, I will swear to the grave, there is more to what silence has to say.

So, I listened to silent words on life and liberty and what's to occure.
And, out of all the confessions silence said, one echoes over and over, forever in my head.

A revelation of some sort. A truth so true, I cannot retort:
"As a matter of fact," silence said, "there will be no peace until you're dead."
