Your Sweet Rhapsody
Thoughts of your sweet rhapsody,
Flowing waters in the Spring...
Did you know how much you meant tto me?
Know what your loss would bring?
Now I trudge upon the barren wastes
Of where my heart once was,
And all is need, and all is lost,
And all has come undone.
Yet still may be a hope for me,
Though it be barely known;
The hope that you will show again
What your eyes once have shown.
And should that sweet day come at last
When we shall newly start;
Never shall I want again,
Nor we two be apart.
