This handout photo released on May 13, 2009 shows side and front views of the Venus of Hohle Fels and photomicrographs documenting the methods of production. Venus of Hohle Fels is a tiny sculpture that was found in a cave in German town of Hohle Fels, depicting a figure of a woman, carved in mammoth ivory, believed to be the earliest example of figurative art that is around 35,000 years old. (The carbon dating of it puts the date at between 31,300 and 40,000 years). AFP PHOTO/H.
