Jessica Biel is so beautiful. And sexy. How can she be a threat to you? The danger occurs when her name is typed into a search engine on your computer.
Security technology company McAfee Inc. analyzed online threats and determined that searches for Jessica Biel are more likely to cause viruses and spyware to land on your computer than searches for any other celebrity. To be more specific, McAfee reports that when using the search phrase "Jessica Biel," you have a one-in-five chance of ending up on a Web site, photo, video or piece of spam that is designed to damage your computer.
McAfee ranked celebrities based on the percentage of search results that were found to be damaging and on how harmful those sites turned out to be. For example, if you search with the phrase "Jessica Biel screensavers," nearly half the of the sites contain malicious downloads with spyware, adware and potential viruses.

Biel is "very, very popular right now, so it says to me that the cyber criminals really do know who's hot and who's not," Shane Keats, a research analyst at McAfee, told CNN. "They really are smart. They can spot a trend as well as anyone else can--as well as Paris Hilton can."
The risks can range from annoying to devastating, but if you stick to what Keats calls the "well-lighted parts" of the Internet, such as Netscape, CompuServe and AOL, you'll be safe. "As soon as you go off the big boulevards, you go off map and you have the potential to land in a dark alley," he warned CNN.
